In 2003, Ecological Engineering Group designed, engineered, and managed construction of a Solar Aquatics Systems (SAS) for New England BioLabs (NEB).
The company needed its own wastewater treatment system, because its town, Ipswich, Mass., was worried about the unknown compounds emitted by the company. NEB makes scientific testing materials. So NEB opted for an ecologically oriented solution: A Solar Aquatics System.
