Ecocylet keeps lakes clean in Canada

EEG’s Canadian licensee of its Recirculating Wastewater GardenÂȘ system recently unveiled its first Recirculating Wastewater Garden, which is now called Ecocyclet. The Big Rideau Lake Association is promoting these systems, developed by EEG’s subsidiary, Sustainable Strategies, to prevent pollution of the lakeshore by septic systems and reduce fertilizer use by providing an alternative way of growing landscapes–with wastewater. EEG provides engineering of the system. The system debuted at a celebration attended by residents of the lake’s surrounding communities.

Big Rideau Lake had long sought a viable solution to pollution of the lake. The most identifiable source of the pollution was the septic systems around the lake. The Association is demonstrating and promoting Ecocyclet for both new building and retrofits.
